Almost all companies need data science engineers to analyze their customers, sales, and service. If the data is small then we can analyze data in an excel sheet, but if the data is more then the company needs data science engineers to analyze data or customers.

Well, first I will discuss the skills required to become a data science engineer. The skills required are you must be strong in mathematics topics like probability, statistics, combinations, algebra, etc and you should be strong in a programming language like python and R. At present python language is used for data science. Apart from this you should be good at machine learning and AI to generate customer data.

Now I will discuss what is data science work in daily life. If we take the example of a data science engineer working at OYO rooms his/her work is to generate data of customers and give it to the managers. In OYO rooms data science engineers will print a report of customers booking their room from different regions like how many people booked rooms from Karnataka or Andhra.

He will print reports of customers’ data in graph format or other charts. Data science engineers must know how to extract data from excel sheets and databases. Now, I will discuss step by step in short.

01. By applying machine learning algorithms he will collect data of customers from various regions.

02. The data of customers from different places will be stored in the database or in an excel sheet based on customers.

03. Then by applying data science technics, he will extract the accurate data from the database or sheets.

04. If the manager wants data of customers in Karnataka, then the data science engineer will print the customer data of Karnataka and give it to a manager.

05. Further, the manager and other senior members in companies will analyze the data and try the improve their service.
