Blockchain is a technology which will reduce hacking, and keep data transparency. It was developed in 2008.

Which the help of blockchain we can find data that is changed, suppose you have stored data in the server and the data has signature, hacker changes your data then the signature will change, later you can verify your data by comparing your original data and changed data. The main motive of blockchain is to make data unchangeable.
The blockchain is used in banking where we need to store data and the data should not be changed by others.
