Machine Learning Applications In Electrical Engineering

Machine learning is a great concept in which the machine will have the ability to learn things without being explicitly programmed. Have you ever thought that machine learning can be used in the electrical field?, well guys, here I will share some domains or fields in electrical engineering where you can apply machine learning concepts. Let’s discuss them one by one.

01. Speed Control Of Motor Using Machine Learning

Hereby using some datasets, you can train a model to control the speed of the motor in both forward and reverse rotation with regenerative braking.

02. Smart Grid Using Machine Learning

A smart grid means everything will be handled automatically whenever a fault occurs. You can apply machine learning in a smart grid to make operations easier.

03. Battery Management Using Machine Learning

The battery management system is a device that will monitor and control the battery state of charge, voltage, temperature, etc, you can use machine learning technics to monitor battery parameters and to take necessary actions.

04. Home Automation Using Machine Learning

Home automation means making home appliances operate automatically means when anybody enters the room the lights and fans get turned on automatically. Here the machine learning methods can be used to take decisions smartly when to turn on the heater, when to open the door, when to turn on the TV, etc.

05. Fault Detection Using Machine Learning

Faults in transmission lines and distribution lines are very common, here machine learning algorithms can help to find the spot where the fault has occurred.

06. Solar Power Plant Using Machine Learning

Here the machine learning concept will help to generate maximum energy. This means by using ML methods you can design a system that rotates the solar panel at 360 degrees to track the sun.

07. Autonomous Vehicle Using Machine Learning

Tesla’s autonomous vehicle is made with machine learning and AI technics, here the car will drive by itself and the driver can sleep or he can do some other work.

08. Control System Using Machine Learning

Control systems are commonly used in industries, where machine learning can help industries to control devices very efficiently without any fault or damage to the system.

This was about “Machine Learning Applications In Electrical Engineering“. I hope this article may help you all a lot. Thank you for reading.
