The VLSI design flow consists of nine stages:

  1. System Specification
  2. Functional (Architecture) Design
  3. Functional Verification
  4. Logic Design
  5. Logic Verification
  6. Circuit Design
  7. Circuit Verification
  8. Physical Design
  9. Layout Verification

This is the VLSI design flow.
