The types of Synchronous motors are:

  1. Wound field synchronous motor
  2. Permanent Magnet (PM) synchronous motors ( Surface-mounted PM motors & Interior PM motors )
  3. Synchronous reluctance motors
  4. Hysteresis synchronous motors
