J1939 Protocol is used in many applications, few of them are as follows:

  1. Agricultural and Forestry Off-Road Machinery Control and Communication Network.
  2. Marine Stern Drive and Inboard Spark-Ignition Engine On-Board Diagnostics.
  3. Off-Board Diagnostic Connector.
  4. Industrial Generator Sets.
  5. Truck and Bus Applications.
